Healthcare in Florida is not just an issue of cost or coverage, it’s an issue of access. Both of my parents, one of whom is an army veteran, are disabled. Accessing any kind of care for their disabilities is one of the hardest aspects of life for them. The cost of insurance outweighs the benefits of dwindling coverage. Aside from the dwindling benefits from the VA and social security, they have no other income. This leaves myself and my sibling to help. This is not a random case, this is something many veterans and their families have to navigate every day.

As your representative, I will:

  • Increase financial access to healthcare for our seniors (expanding rideshare to doctors visits, securing low to no copay for visits)

  • Introduce stipend programs for disability patients and social security recipients, in addition to existing SNAP benefits
